Notice on the Research Proposal and Project Evaluation of the Postgraduate Students of the College of Plant Sciences and Technology in the Fall of 2020

According to the work arrangement of the Graduate School, the postgraduate student's research proposal and project evaluation in fall of 2020 will start soon. The specific matters relevant are hereby notified as follows:

1. Deadline

To be completed before January 8, 2021 (Week 18).

2. Required materials

(1) Research proposal:

professional master students of 2020

academic master students of 2019

PhD students of 2019 (including PhD candidates in 2019)

Master (PhD) students without research proposal before 2019

(2) Project evaluation :

professional master students of 2019

academic master students of 2018

Master (PhD) students without research proposal of 2017 and before

3. Specific requirements

(1) Reporting time requirements: Graduate students make the PowerPoint presentation and report the content of the topic to the expert panel. The reporting time for master students is no less than 30 minutes, and the total time for questioning and project defense is at least 30 minutes; the reporting time for doctoral students is no less than 40 minutes, and the total time for questioning and project defense is at least 60 minutes.

Postgraduates who are in continuous master-doctoral studies or advanced doctoral studies have already participated in the opening report in the master's stage, and the doctoral stage continues the project of the master's stage, they need to participate in the opening of the topic again; if they have changed the graduation project midway, they also need to re-participate in the project.

(2) Panel requirements: The master's research proposal or the project evaluation expert group is composed of 5 professors, associate professors or experts with equivalent academic titles (the expert group includes at least 40% of unfamiliar members); the doctoral project report expert group consists of 5 It is composed of professors or experts with equivalent titles (the expert group includes at least 60% of unfamiliar members). A secretary will be assigned to each expert group to complete the work before and after the opening report or project inspection.

4. Specific procedures

(1) Proposal: Graduate students enter the integrated graduate management system, and fill in the proposition report information (time, location, report topic, etc.) truthfully. After the college has passed the review, the graduate school's website will publish it. The opening defense is conducted in the laboratory. After the defense, the graduate students improve the "Huazhong Agricultural University Graduate Dissertation Research Opening Report" based on expert opinions, and submit it to the college for review and seal within two weeks after the opening report (front and back printed on A4 paper, Binding), the electronic version will be sent to the mailbox. If necessary, it will be submitted in the postgraduate integrated management system before further notice.

The secretary and teacher need to sort out the dissertation opening report (see attachment) of the graduate students of this semester in this research group after the opening of the topic, and send it to the mailbox hzauzky@vip.163.com.

(2) Mid-term: Graduate students enter the integrated graduate management system, and fill in the mid-term inspection information (time, location, report topic, etc.) truthfully. After the college's review is passed, the graduate school's website will publish it. The opening defense is conducted in the laboratory. After the defense, the graduate students complete the "Huazhong Agricultural University Graduate Dissertation Interim Inspection Record Form" based on expert opinions, and submit it to the college for review and seal within two weeks after the midterm inspection (front and back of A4 paper) Print, stitch binding), the electronic version is sent to the mailbox, and if necessary, it will be submitted in the graduate integrated management system before further notice.

The secretary and teacher need to sort out the research proposals of the students who participated in the mid-term inspection in this semester (see attachment) and send it to the mailbox hzauzky@vip.163.com.

5. Matters needing attention

The email address for submitting all electronic materials is hzauzky@vip.163.com, and the electronic materials submitted by graduate students are named as major + student ID + name + opening report or topic inspection, such as "Plant Pathology +2017301110096+ Zhang San + opening report ".
